Installing an EV charger isn’t just plugging in a device. Proper install means:

Get any of that wrong and you’re looking at tripped breakers, slow charging, or in the worst case a fire hazard. We do EV chargers properly, across central AB and SK.

What we install

Home chargers (Level 2, 240V)

Commercial and fleet

Farm and shop

What the install actually involves

Typical residential install (on an adequate 200A panel):
1. Site visit. we check your panel capacity, figure out the run from panel to charger location
2. Load calculation. modern EV chargers pull 30-48 amps continuously. Math has to work.
3. Permit pulled with your municipality
4. Install day. usually 3-6 hours. New dedicated circuit, breaker, conduit run, mount charger, test.
5. Inspection. electrical inspector signs off
6. First charge. we plug in your vehicle, confirm it charges correctly

If your panel is too small:
Upgrade from 100A → 200A first, then install charger. We can do both in sequence (1 day for panel, 1 day for charger) or in some cases same day.

If you’re running conduit to a detached garage or shop:
Longer install. Trenching or overhead run depending on access. 1-2 days typical.

What it costs

Every install is different, but ballpark:

Written quote after a site visit. We’ll tell you up front if your panel can handle it or if you need an upgrade first.

Government rebates (worth asking about)

We’re not tax accountants, but we know the current rebate landscape and can tell you what to ask your accountant about.
